1. Legal

Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust is a registered charity (number 1170103).

2. Processing your order and payment

2.1 We accept payment by MasterCard, Maestro and Visa. Card transactions processed online are administered on our behalf by WorldPay which does not disclose your card details to us. Card payments processed over the telephone are administered by Barclays and we are PCI DSS compliant. Cheques and postal orders are accepted for orders made by post and should be made payable to Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust. Cheques should have your name and address (including postcode) written clearly on the back. Please do not send cash through the post. CAF cheques are acceptable only for making a donation and not if purchasing a product.

2.2 All product prices and delivery charges shown on our website and marketing materials do not include VAT (the charity is not registered for VAT) and are correct at the time of printing.

3. Goods

3.1 All orders will be subject to our acceptance of the order

3.2 Due to popular demand and occasional limited availability, our products may sell out quickly. If an item you have ordered is not available you will be notified.

3.3 Although we aim to describe and measure items as accurately as possible, occasionally colours, design and materials may vary slightly from those illustrated.

3.5 If items within your order are permanently out of stock, we will notify you and ask if you would like your product substituted for an alternative. If you do not wish to accept this substitute we will issue you with a full refund.

4. Delivery

4.1 Your order should arrive within 7-10 days, but please allow up to 28 days for delivery at peak times.

4.2 We deliver to UK mainland only.

4.3 We cannot accept liability for out of pocket expenses or other costs incurred due to failed or delayed deliveries or breach of our obligations, if the delay or breach is due to acts of God, civil commotion, riots, strikes, malicious damage, floods, drought, fire, flood, legislation, failure of ISP or telecommunications provider or other cause beyond our reasonable control. This does not affect your statutory rights.

5. Cancellation and refunds

5.1 You have the right to cancel your order for any reason within 14 days of receiving your items. Where you are withdrawing from your purchase within the 14-day cooling-off period we will be happy to refund an item once we have received the items back, assuming they are in fully re-saleable condition. Postage for returning the item to us will be at your own cost. If the items are not in a fully re-saleable condition we do reserve the right to refuse a refund. This does not affect your statutory rights.

5.2 If you receive damaged products or we send a product in error or we supply you with a substitute for a product which is unavailable and you do not want the substitute, please call the ACT office. You may return the products and a replacement or full refund will be provided, including the costs of returning the product to us.

5.3 Full details on how to return a product to us are below:

  • Please return your items with a note detailing the reason for the return along with your full contact details: name, address and contact telephone number.

  • In the case of a faulty item, please provide a full description of the fault.

  • We recommend that you obtain proof of postage when returning parcels, as we are unable to accept responsibility for items that fail to reach us.

6. Data protection

6.1 The information provided by customers will be held by Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust for processing and administrative purposes in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
